Travel Nurse RN - Radiology - $2,540 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN specializing in Radiology for an immediate opening in Urbana, Illinois. The assignment is 12 weeks long, with 40 hours per week worked in 9‑hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Start or check peripheral IVs
• Access and assess infusaports
• Administer medications
• Monitor vital signs
• Suction patients
• Insert Foley catheters
• Assist patients with personal needs
• Inform the technologist or radiologist of any unusual patient needs
• Perform specialized nursing duties such as administering IV sedation or analgesia during special procedures
• Closely monitor patients with cardiac/pulse oximeters

Requirements

• 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• PALS certification
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning the assignment

Skills

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Ability to bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty
• Capable of easily lifting 20 pounds
• Moving or lifting patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds
• Prepared to work in environments with potential exposure to chemicals and infectious diseases
