About the role
TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Radiology for a 13-week assignment in Santa Monica, California.
Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts using radiation therapy equipment
- Position patients accurately and comfortably for each treatment session
- Verify treatment settings and patient identity before delivering therapy
- Maintain radiation safety protocols for both patients and staff
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety and comfort
- Use imaging technology (e.g., CT, X-rays) to guide accurate treatment delivery
- Document treatment details and maintain accurate patient records
- Communicate effectively with physicians, dosimetrists, and other team members
- Educate patients and families on procedures, side effects, and care during treatment
- Inspect, maintain, and calibrate radiation therapy equipment regularly
Requirements
- ARRT (T) National Certification
- Current BLS Certification
- At least 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist
Qualifications
- State licensure may be required
- Ability to stand for long periods, work precisely with complex equipment, and offer compassionate care in emotionally sensitive situations

Pay
The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
