Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Post/Pre-Op RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Sioux Falls, SD. Specialty: PreOp / PACU - Post Anesthesia Care. Discipline: RN. Start Date: ASAP. Duration: 13 weeks. 40 hours per week. Shift: 8 hours, days. Employment Type: Travel. Location: Facility in Sioux Falls, SD.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients pre-operatively, including reviewing medical history, performing physical examinations, and identifying potential risks
• Prepare patients for surgery, including educating them about procedures and post-operative care
• Receive and conduct comprehensive assessments of patients transferring from the operating room and assess their post-anesthesia condition
• Monitor patients post-operatively for complications and manages pain and recovery
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques
• Maintain awareness of comfort and safety needs of patients in the perioperative setting
• Observe and document patient conditions, treatments, and significant incidents and responses to anesthesia and treatments, notifying the care team of significant changes or adverse reactions
