Job Description
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Post/Pre-Op RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Ketchum, Idaho. The role involves assessing patients pre-operatively, preparing them for surgery, monitoring them post-operatively, administering treatments, and collaborating with healthcare teams.
Requirements
- One year of recent experience as a Pre/Post-Op RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification
Qualifications
- ACLS Certifications (AHA/ARC)
- PALS (AHA/ARC) certification
Essential Work Functions
- Assess patients pre-operatively
- Prepare patients for surgery
- Receive and conduct comprehensive assessments of patients transferring from the operating room
- Monitor patients post-operatively for complications
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments
- Maintain awareness of comfort and safety needs
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and recovery progress
- Deliver individualized patient and family education plans
- Collaborate with the surgical team and other healthcare providers
- Participate in patient handoff communications
- Operate and monitor pre and post op-specific equipment
- Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
