About the role

Talent4Health is seeking a travel nurse RN Post Partum for a travel nursing job in Johnson City, New York.

Responsibilities

  • 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
  • Must work every other weekend and holiday.
  • Must be willing to float to Labor & Delivery as needed.
  • Experience in Postpartum/Mother-Baby (Couplet Care).
  • Comfortable providing routine care for both mother and newborn.
  • Experience with parent education and newborn care.
  • Experience with recognizing and responding to postpartum hemorrhage and other maternal emergencies.
  • Ability to perform vaginal exams.
  • Willing to support Labor & Delivery with patient recovery, early newborn care, documentation, and code situations.
  • Willing to assist the NICU with grower/feeder infant support.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Active New York State RN License.
  • Current BLS certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross).
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
  • Professional nursing specialty certification and relevant certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or TNCC preferred, if applicable.
  • Experience in Postpartum/Mother-Baby (Couplet Care).

  • Experience with parent education and newborn care.

  • Ability to perform vaginal exams.

Skills

  • Professional nursing specialty certification and relevant certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or TNCC.
  • Unit-specific certifications such as RN-MNN, CLC, or IBCLC.
