About the role
Talent4Health is seeking a travel nurse RN Post Partum for a travel nursing job in Johnson City, New York.
Responsibilities
- 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
- Must work every other weekend and holiday.
- Must be willing to float to Labor & Delivery as needed.
- Experience in Postpartum/Mother-Baby (Couplet Care).
- Comfortable providing routine care for both mother and newborn.
- Experience with parent education and newborn care.
- Experience with recognizing and responding to postpartum hemorrhage and other maternal emergencies.
- Ability to perform vaginal exams.
- Willing to support Labor & Delivery with patient recovery, early newborn care, documentation, and code situations.
- Willing to assist the NICU with grower/feeder infant support.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Active New York State RN License.
- Current BLS certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross).
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
- Professional nursing specialty certification and relevant certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or TNCC preferred, if applicable.
- Experience in Postpartum/Mother-Baby (Couplet Care).

- Ability to perform vaginal exams.

Skills
- Professional nursing specialty certification and relevant certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or TNCC.
- Unit-specific certifications such as RN-MNN, CLC, or IBCLC.
