Job Summary

Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) RN position available in Wichita, Kansas. This role involves providing specialized critical care to pediatric patients in a Level II trauma unit within a teaching hospital. The position requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and adherence to unit policies and protocols.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours shift hours, minimum of 48 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

• Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications
• Candidates must have a minimum of 1-year current acute care hospital PICU RN experience, located in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

• CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) experience
• APHON (Association of Pediatric Hematology / Oncology Nurses) certification
• Pediatric teaching hospital experience

Additional Information

The unit primarily performs IV starts and blood draws, TPT (Placement of Tunneled Pleural Catheters), and best fits those who work well under pressure in a teaching hospital environment.

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 48 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
