About the Role

• 23-bed PICU
• Patient ratios: 1:2
• Level I Trauma Center
• Mixed Neuro & Cardiac PICU
• Epic EMR experience required
• Weekend coverage required
• Locals accepted
• Must be willing to float to other UCSF facilities, potentially within a 75+ mile radius

Requirements

• 5 years RN experience
• PICU experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required
• High-acuity pediatric critical care experience
• Preferred: Pediatric CVICU experience
• Charge experience preferred
• Level I Trauma experience preferred
• California RN license in hand at submission
• BSN required
• BLS – AHA
• PALS
• COVID vaccine + booster required; medical/religious exemptions accepted
• Prior employment with any University of California medical facility must be disclosed, including dates, units and manager(s)

• Ventilator and advanced airway management
• Arterial lines, CVP & hemodynamic monitoring
• Vasopressors and continuous sedation
• Chest tubes
• EVD/ICP monitoring & post-neurosurgery care
• BiPAP/CPAP & high-flow oxygen
• ABG interpretation
• Central/PICC line management
• Procedural sedation
• Pediatric dosage calculations
• Post-cardiac surgery experience
• CRRT preferred
