Travel Nurse RN - PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care - $2,385 per week
Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in Madison, Wisconsin. This position involves providing family-centered care for critically ill or injured pediatric patients in a state-of-the-art unit. The role includes managing complex medical and surgical cases, with a focus on high-acuity patient care in a Level One Pediatric Trauma Center and Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
Job Details
- Shift: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Start Date: 08/17/2026
- Duration: 14 weeks
Required Qualifications
- License: Valid Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact state license
- Experience: At least 2 years of recent acute care experience in pediatric or CVICU units
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Software: EPIC electronic health record experience
- Testing: Ability to pass Telemetry test prior to starting
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with high-acuity pediatric patients, including ECMO, CRRT, and advanced ventilator management
Additional Information
- This position requires float capability to NICU and general pediatric care areas as needed
- The facility cares for a diverse patient age range, from neonates to adolescents, with daily patient census averaging 18
- Candidate must be able to effectively manage complex pediatric cases such as head injuries, neurological disorders, cardiac anomalies, organ transplants, and multi-system failure
- Strict testing and licensing verification are required prior to start

Pay Package
The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
