Travel Nurse RN - PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care - $2,375 per week

Job Summary

The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is based in a healthcare facility that provides specialized critical care to pediatric patients. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for children requiring intensive treatment, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and professional standards of nursing practice.

Job Details

• Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs.
• Reviews patient history, physical, diagnostics, and laboratory data; reports abnormal results to physicians and caregivers.
• Formulates and revises care plans based on assessment data and patient needs, goals, and outcomes.
• Implements care through direct nursing actions, delegation, and supervision, ensuring continuity and compliance.
• Evaluates patient responses and the effectiveness of teaching, documenting all activities accordingly.
• Participates in research activities, professional development, and unit or facility shared leadership.
• Interacts with multidisciplinary teams, patients, families, and external contacts to support overall patient care.

Required Qualifications

• A current, valid RN license in the state of practice, or valid compact RN license.
• BLS certification.
• Experience in an acute care hospital setting within the past 12 months.
• Experience in the specialty area is preferred.

Schedule

Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.

Additional Information

• The role may include supervision of staff, participating in research, and educational activities within the facility.
