Travel Nurse RN - PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care - $1,732 per week

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN specializing in Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU) for a 13‑week assignment in Springfield, Missouri. The position requires 36 hours per week on 12‑hour day shifts and is open to nurses with 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' vital signs and initiate corrective action when necessary.
• Follow continuous cardiac and respiratory monitor readings (EKG tracings, O2 stats, CVP/arterial line waveforms) and report any observed changes.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs (both central venous and arterial).
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment such as ventilators.
• Assist physicians during examination, treatment and procedures, including life‑saving situations.
• Assist with the insertion or discontinuation of CV catheters, arterial lines, external ventricular drains, Foley tubes, epidural catheters and endotracheal tubes.
• Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
