Travel Nurse RN - Pediatrics OR - Operating Room - $2,704 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Pediatrics OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The ideal candidate will have 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience and be prepared to work in a pediatric operating room setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor medical operations
• Advise patients and families on illnesses or injuries
• Plan long‑term care needs
• Document medical history
• Check for patient allergies
• Obtain vital signs
• Monitor patients’ emotional and physical well‑being
• Assist with moving and positioning of patients
• Manage patient care in the OR according to hospital policy
• Ensure all patient paperwork is completed prior to procedure
• Watch for signs and symptoms of impaired gas exchange related to anesthesia
• Remain at the patient’s side until anesthesia has been successfully induced
• Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty
• Lift up to 20 pounds routinely; may need to lift up to 50 pounds when moving patients
• Be aware of hazards from exposure to chemicals or infectious diseases in the OR

Requirements

• Current BLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment

Pay

Pay package is based on 10‑hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
