Travel Nurse RN - Pediatrics - $1,995 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Pediatrics for an immediate opening in Medford, Oregon. The position is for a Pediatrics RN (Travel Nurse) requiring 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience. As a Pediatric Travel Nurse you will provide preventative and acute care to children and adolescents in all settings, supporting patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate care to patients.
• Help patients to be comfortable with examination and procedures.
• Perform physical, medical and diagnostic tests.
• Assess for critical signs and symptoms in the pediatric and adolescent patient populations.
• Assist treating physician during examination, treatment and procedures.
• Provide information, education and support to patients' family members.
• Stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
• Easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting patients may require up to 50 pounds.
• Be aware of hazards from exposure to chemicals and infectious diseases.

Requirements

• BLS certification
• PALS certification
• 1‑2 years’ recent acute care experience
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment

Schedule

• Shift: 12 hours, nights
• Hours per week: 36.0 hours
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined
