TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Pediatrics for a travel nursing job in Oklahoma, OK. The position is for 13 weeks, 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts. The ideal candidate has 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience and will provide preventative and acute care to children and adolescents in various settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate care to patients.
• Help patients to be comfortable with examination and procedures.
• Perform physical, medical and diagnostic tests.
• Assess for critical signs and symptoms in the pediatric and adolescent patient populations.
• Assist treating physician during examination, treatment and procedures.
• Provide information, education and support to patients' family members.
• Stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
• Easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Be aware of hazards from exposure to chemicals and infectious diseases.

Requirements

• BLS certification
• PALS certification
• ACLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience (1‑2 years preferred)
