Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $2,793 per week

About the role

Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Travel Nurse position in Middletown, Ohio. Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit. Discipline: RN. Duration: 13 weeks. Employment type: Travel. Shift: 12‑hour nights, 48 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret and record electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action whenever information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology.

Requirements

• ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications.
• 1‑2 years recent acute care experience (minimum 2 years preferred).
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Skills

• Able to stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
• Capable of lifting 20 pounds routinely, with occasional patient lifts up to 50 pounds.
• Good stress‑coping skills and ability to relate to patients of all ages and backgrounds.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 48.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
