• 12-hour night shifts

About the role

• 36-bed unit
• Patient ratios: 1:5-6 for Cardiac patients, 1:3-4 for PCU/stepdown population
• Telemetry monitoring equipment
• EHR: Cerner
• Patient population: Cardiac with trauma and stepdown level of care, Telemetry

Responsibilities

• Care for patients with common diagnoses/treatments including:
  • Chest pain
  • VATS
  • Stroke/TIA
  • Pre & Post Open Heart Surgery
  • Pacemakers
  • Heart Blocks
  • Vascular
  • CHF
• Work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Requirements

• Must have experience with:
  • Cardiac patient populations
  • Chest tubes
  • Cardiac monitoring and cardiac drips
  • Cardiac stepdown populations
• Preferred experience:
  • PCU/Stepdown patient populations
  • Low-level ICU skills
• Required education: Associate degree
