Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $2,685 per week

About the role

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse in Burlington, Massachusetts. This role involves providing specialized patient care in a step-down unit, managing a diverse patient population requiring close monitoring and intervention. Night shift schedules with every other weekend work are expected, along with float responsibilities to various operational areas as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized patient care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
• Float to ED holds, inpatient holds, Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), and other boarding units in 4-hour blocks while on shift.
• Perform day one pass/fail testing, with Relias practice tests available via Relias.
• Titrate pressors as required.

Requirements

• Valid licensure as a registered nurse.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Epic experience required.
• Must have been separated from the employment organization for a minimum of 6 months to be eligible.
• IVS to manager for approval.

Qualifications

Required

• Ability to titrate pressors.
• Candidates with level 1 trauma experience are preferred; if no prior travel experience, level 1 trauma experience will be required.

Preferred

• ACLS from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Level 1 trauma experience.

Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Starting from 08/31/2026, with weekly start dates (Mondays).
• Every other weekend work expected.
• Ratios will be between 1:3-5.
