About the unit
- Number of Beds: 15 beds
- Number of Staff: 22 (RN/PCT)
- Type of staff:
- Day Shift: 3–4 RN, 2 PCT, 1 Clinical Coordinator
- Night Shift: 3–4 RN, 1 PCT
- Patient Ratios: 4–5:1
- Type of equipment: Cardiac Telemetry, Chest tubes, Cardiac drips (NTG, Cardizem, Amiodarone), Post-Cath patients, post-surgical patients (including open heart, lung, general surgery), post-op orthopedic patients that require cardiac monitoring.
- EMR: Meditech
Required skills
Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role:
- PCU experience
- Knowledge of cardiac rhythms and surgical patients
- Chest tube management, epidurals
