Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $2,522 per week

About the role

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The role involves providing direct patient care in an 18‑bed PCU, utilizing equipment such as IV pumps, Sara steady’s, Hiflo, Bipap, Kangroo pumps, Hoyer lifts, and bladder scanners, and documenting care in Meditech Expanse. The unit operates with 5‑RN teams supported by a CNC, two LNAs, and a unit clerk, maintaining a patient ratio of 4:1.

Responsibilities

• Deliver progressive care to patients in accordance with unit protocols.
• Operate and monitor IV pumps, Sara steady’s, Hiflo, Bipap, Kangroo pumps, Hoyer lifts, and bladder scanners.
• Document all patient interactions and interventions in Meditech Expanse.
• Collaborate with a 5‑RN team, CNC, LNAs, and unit clerk to ensure safe, efficient care.
• Adhere to the floating policy for travelers, PRN, PT core, and FT core staff.
• Follow scheduling requirements: three 12‑hour shifts per week with every other weekend coverage in 4‑week blocks.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• Specialty experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
• Availability to start on 10/26/2026.
• Commitment to a 13‑week travel assignment.
• Ability to work 36 hours per week, consisting of 12‑hour day shifts.
• Willingness to work as a travel nurse.

Schedule

• Three 12‑hour shifts per week.
• Every other weekend required, arranged in 4‑week blocks.
