Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $2,431 per week

About the role

The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) comprises 18 beds and focuses on patients experiencing severe, but usually non-life-threatening issues requiring moderately complex assessments, moderately intensive therapies and interventions, and moderate levels of nursing vigilance. Patients include those with general medical disease processes such as post ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke, sepsis, cardiac, and respiratory conditions. This is an extremely busy and fast-paced environment serving a 500-mile radius at a Level 2 trauma center with Stroke accreditation, 800 inpatient beds, and 80 ER beds. The volume and pace are comparable to a Level 1 trauma center.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical excellence and exceptional customer service in a collaborative, multidisciplinary, patient-centered environment.
• Manage patients requiring vasopressors, titratable drips, arterial lines, neuro stepdown care, procedural sedation, thrombolytics, and trach management.

Requirements

• Active RN license in Nevada (RN-NV).
• Minimum of 2 years of PCU experience.
• Current certifications: ACLS-AHA, BLS-AHA, NIH Stroke Scale.
• No gaps in work history exceeding 0 days.
• Two professional references from the last 24 months.
• SSN and date of birth required for compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system.

Pay

Pay rate: $2,370.00 - $2,492.00 per week, based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation). Includes tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
