About the role

VyTalent Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Stepdown Cardiac Registered Nurse position in a hospital setting in Cookeville, Tennessee. The assignment starts on October 5, 2026, lasts 13 weeks, with 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts (19:00–07:00). The role is a travel contract. Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients in a hospital setting.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to changes in patient condition promptly.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely.

Requirements

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Cardiac Stepdown.
• No RTO restrictions from February 8, 2027 through March 31, 2027.
• Pending licenses are not accepted.
• Open to floating within facility needs as required.
• No guaranteed hours outside the scheduled 36 hours per week.
• No weekend requirement.
• No on‑call requirement.
