Job Summary
This new York-based step down unit registered nurse (RN) position offers an opportunity to provide specialized care in a fast-paced acute care environment. Candidates must hold a valid RN license and bring their license on the first day of assignment. The role involves caring for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses such as cardiac, nephrology, strokes, and diabetes, requiring the ability to monitor continuous EEGs and titrate various drips. The position is scheduled for nights shifts, starting on 07/06/2026, with a minimum commitment of 36 hours per week.

2 years of recent experience in a comparable setting

Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records
Additional Information
Candidate must be outside of a 50-mile radius and not hold full-time, part-time, or PRN positions with any facility associated with the organization.
RTO (Reasonable Time Off) requests must be submitted upfront (7 days or less per 13-week contract).
This is a 13-week assignment, with a cancellation policy allowing the hospital to cancel up to 4 shifts.
The unit operates under a Trauma Level 2 designation in an acute care setting, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:4-5, and duties include titration of critical drips such as Cardizem, beta blockers, and seizure medications.

Pay Package
The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
