Job Summary
This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care in a 25-bed unit specializing in heavy neuro trauma, neurosurgery, craniectomy, ortho, and trauma cases.
Responsibilities
- Delivering nursing care for neurology/neurosurgery, trauma, and orthopedic patients using telemetry, chest tubes, airvo, Heparin, PCA, and 3% Na.
- Reading telemetry strips and performing de-escalation if certified (preferred qualification).
Requirements
- Iowa license (active or compact/multistate)
- BLS, ACLS (AHA)
- NIHSS (preferred)
- 24 months of current Medical Surgical, IMCU, Stepdown, or Progressive Care experience
- At least one travel assignment completed in the past 12 months
- Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
