Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $2,115 per week

About the role

Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in an outpatient setting. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients, supervising healthcare team members, and ensuring safety and compliance with hospital standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed.
• Supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees.
• Performs a nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Initiates discharge planning on all patients from the day of admission.
• Provides patient education and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans.
• Ensures accurate documentation and communication of patient status.
• Assumes charge responsibility following orientation and participates in team building activities to promote a positive environment.
• Maintains communication with management regarding supplies, equipment, and clinical training needs.
• Demonstrates professionalism by pursuing ongoing education and self-study.

Requirements

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift (CIRH only).
• Minimum two (2) years bedside clinical experience required.

Schedule

• Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
