Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $2,008 per week

About the role

Fusion Medical Staffing is recruiting a travel nurse RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The position is for 13 weeks, starting July 27, 2026, and requires 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients
• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and other telemetry data
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams
• Documents nursing history and physical assessment
• Initiates patient education plans
• Responds to life-saving situations
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
• Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

Qualifications

• Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification preferred
• NIHSS Certification preferred

Skills

Essential skills include critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills. Ability to read/write in English, read/write instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills are required. Physical abilities include remaining in a stationary position, moving about, moving equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bending, grasping, performing fine manipulation, and moving about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment. Mental requirements include coping with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure, working effectively with a variety of personnel, and working without assistance from other personnel. Sensory requirements include possessing visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate.

Pay & Schedule

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
