Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $1,945 per week

Job Summary

An Orthopedic and Trauma Stepdown Nurse specializing in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is needed at a healthcare organization located in Indianapolis, Indiana. This position offers a night shift schedule, with shifts lasting 12 hours and a minimum of 36 hours per week. The role involves providing specialized nursing care for patients recovering from orthopedic and trauma procedures, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Managing a caseload within the PCU
• Implementing care plans in compliance with hospital policies and SOPs
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Valid nursing license (licensed in Indiana or eligible for licensure)
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting, including experience in a Progressive Care Unit or similar environment
• Minimum of an associate degree in nursing (ADN) or higher

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) are highly preferred
• Prior experience working in orthopedic and trauma care is advantageous

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
