Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $1,900 per week

About the Role

Travel nursing position for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) located in Charlotte, North Carolina. This assignment is for 20 weeks with a schedule of 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients requiring neuro-intensive care, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Administer blood products and manage central lines
• Provide continuous IV sedation and care for ventilated patients
• Manage patients with CVA/acute stroke, external ventricular drains (EVD), and ICP monitoring
• Post-neurosurgery patient management
• Adhere to isolation precautions and proper use of PPE
• Experience with lumbar drains

Strong neuro experience is required, with stroke patients being one of the largest patient populations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in PCU or related unit (no first-time travelers accepted)
• Experience with vents, IV starts, and neuro-intensive care
• Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH
