Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $1,774 per week

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Roanoke, Virginia. The assignment is for 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour day shifts. Job ID #1500080.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment, interpret and record electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action when monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology.
• Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
• Lift up to 20 pounds routinely; moving or lifting patients may require up to 50 pounds.
• Cope with stress in a fast‑paced environment and relate to patients of all ages and backgrounds.

Requirements

• 1‑2 years recent acute care experience.
• ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications.
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.
