Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $1,736 per week

About the role

Fusion Medical Staffing is recruiting a travel nurse RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The position is available immediately for a 13-week duration with 36 hours per week, including 12-hour night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain awareness of patient comfort and safety needs
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during cardiac-related procedures
• Document nursing history and physical assessments
• Initiate patient education plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Respond to life-saving situations

Requirements

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
• Current valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

Qualifications

• Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification preferred
• NIHSS Certification preferred

Skills

Essential skills include critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication. Must have the ability to read/write in the English language, comprehend written instructions, and use a computer.

Pay

The pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation). There is a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
