Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $1,691 per week

About the role

Fusion Medical Staffing is recruiting a travel nurse RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Natchez, Mississippi. The position is available immediately for a 13-week duration, with 36 hours per week and 12-hour shifts, night shift.

Responsibilities

• Maintain awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, with a focus on cardiac care
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for telemetry patients
• Documents nursing history and physical assessment for assigned telemetry patients
• Initiates patient education plans according to individualized needs, focusing on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestyle modifications
• Responds to life-saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols specific to cardiac emergencies

Requirements

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
• Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

Qualifications

• Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification preferred
• NIHSS Certification preferred

Pay

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
