Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $1,651 per week

About the role

Fusion Medical Staffing is recruiting a travel nurse RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Gainesville, Florida. The position is available immediately for a 13-week duration with 36 hours per week, including 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and other telemetry data
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments
• Prepare equipment and aid physicians during cardiac-related procedures and examinations
• Document nursing history and physical assessments
• Initiate patient education plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Respond to life-saving situations
• Document nursing interventions and patient responses
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds

Requirements

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
• Current valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

Qualifications

• Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification preferred
• NIHSS Certification preferred

• Good interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
• Proficiency in PC skills
• Physical abilities to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
• Interpersonal skills to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary)
• Mental requirements to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
• Sensory to possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate

Pay

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
