Responsibilities

• Float to the entire Outpatient Services area including Day surgery, Endoscopy Lab, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Pre-operative Clinic and hospital needs of conscious sedation for special procedures.
• Use nursing assessment skills for peri‑operative education and care.
• Recognize post anesthesia and post‑operative complications.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years SSSU/PACU/PRE/POST experience.
• Charge nurse experience preferred.

Skills

• Strong skills in Pre, Post, PACU, Phase II, Endoscopy and Infusion.
• Nursing assessment skills for peri‑operative education and care.

Schedule

• 36 hours per week.
• Shift: 12 hours, days.
• Schedule pattern: 4 - 10's with variable schedule and shared on‑call rotation for PACU.
