Travel Nurse RN - PACU - Post Anesthesia Care - $2,685 per week

About the role

PACU Nurse in an Outpatient Surgery Center in Vermont, providing postoperative care to adult and geriatric surgical and procedure patients. The role focuses on assessment, IV therapy, patient education, and seamless discharge processes, requiring strong multitasking skills, effective communication, and prior PACU and outpatient surgery experience.

Responsibilities

• Patient admission and discharge
• Assessment of postoperative patients
• IV starts and therapy
• Assisting in operating room preparations
• Working in a rural outpatient environment
• Utilizing Cerner EMR system
• Providing own transportation (public transit unavailable)
• Travel experience highly preferred
• Ability to work scheduled call days, including weekends, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years
• Submitting time‑off requests at assignment start (no more than five days considered)
• Providing detailed profile information, including full work history, skills, and current license, at submission

Requirements

• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
• Current Vermont RN license
• Minimum of 2 years PACU experience
• Specific experience in same‑day surgery, outpatient facilities, and admitting/discharge procedures

Schedule
