About the role
NURSE's Etc. Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a 12-week assignment in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia care services under the supervision of a licensed practitioner.
- Assess patient conditions and adjust treatments accordingly.
- Monitor vital signs and administer medications as necessary.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient care continuity.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- Experience: 2+ years.
- Certifications: Current RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI.
- Live 65+ miles from facility.
- Not employed by any Ochsner facility within the past year.
Qualifications
- Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Current CPI certification from the Crisis Prevention Institute - 12 month preferred.
- Certification in clinical specialty area preferred.
Skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of post-anesthesia care protocols.
Benefits
Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
