Med Ninjas is seeking a travel nurse RN Orthopedics for a travel nursing job in Urbana, Illinois.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: OrthopedicsDiscipline: RNStart Date: ASAPDuration: 9 weeks36 hours per weekShift: 12 hours, daysEmployment Type: TravelJob Summary (List Format): - Assess orthopedic and medical/surgical patients every shift - Educate patients on wound care, mobility, self-care, medication management, care transition needs, and additional patient-specific needs - Collaborate with physicians and surgeons regarding patient care - Delegate tasks and monitor interventions performed by Health Care Technician (HCT) staff - Set up orthopedic traction and manipulate surgical traction devices for patient mobility and wound care - Manage wound appliances, including wound vacs, drains, pouches, and other urological devices - Maintain compliance with required certifications (Illinois RN license, BLS) - Ensure high standards of patient care through effective communication and coordination with the healthcare teamMed Ninjas Job ID #16475.
