Travel Nurse RN - Orthopedics - $1,600 per week

This position involves providing patient care on a busy orthopedic and medical surgical unit. The role requires working in a compassionate and efficient manner to meet the needs of diverse patient populations in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Job Details

Shift: Days, 12-hour shift, minimum of 36 hours per week. The unit has 25 beds with a staff of over 40 healthcare professionals, including RNs and PCTs. Patient ratios are approximately 6:1 or sometimes 5:1. Common procedures include management of chest tubes, non-titrated Cardizem and Amiodarone drips, and weight-based heparin drips. The team utilizes Baxter IV Pumps, KCI wound vacs, and SCD pumps. Standard EMR system used is Meditech. The unit maintains a professional dress code requiring royal blue scrubs.

Requirements

• Valid nursing license in the state of Texas
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• No minimum experience required (0 years minimum)
• Location in Texas, willingness to work days
• Appropriate educational background for RN licensure

Preferred Qualifications: Meditech experience; telemetry experience. Float rotation may be required.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
