Travel Nurse RN - OR Scrub RN - $2,626 per week

About the role

Malone Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN for the OR Scrub role. This is a 13-week assignment with 40 hours per week on a day shift, working either 8 or 10-hour shifts (6:00 AM–2:00 PM, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, or 9:00 AM–5:00 PM). The facility has 15 suites and handles 55–70 cases per day, including all procedures such as same-day and overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-operative care in the surgical center (not a free-standing facility).
• Scrub for all procedures, including robotic-assisted surgeries.
• Perform IV insertion and maintain surgical care knowledge.
• Serve in a Charge Nurse or House Supervisor capacity as needed.
• Float to the OR holding area when required.
• Adhere to a 50-mile radius rule for licensing compliance.
• Respond to call within 30 minutes when on call.

Call Requirements

• Weeknight: 1–2 second calls per month (24-hour call on one weekend day from 7:00 AM–7:00 AM).
• Weekend: Rotating weekends with an 8-hour shift (7:00 AM–3:00 PM) on Saturday or Sunday, plus 24-hour on-call duty.
• Holiday: 1–2 second calls per month (24-hour call on one weekend day from 7:00 AM–7:00 AM).
• No mandatory standby requirement.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• BLS certification required.
• IV skills are mandatory.
• Experience with surgical care and robotics.
• Ability to scrub for procedures.
• Licensing compliance details must be disclosed at submission.

Orientation & Dress Code

• Unit-specific orientation provided for the Surgical Center/pre-op area.
• Scrub color and dress code provided by the facility.
• EMR system: Currently Sunrise, transitioning to EPIC in April.
