Travel Nurse RN - OR - Operating Room - $3,090 per week

Job Summary

The operating room specialty position is located in Englewood, Colorado. This role involves working in a busy surgical unit with diverse case types, including angioplasty, appendectomy, biopsy, and orthopedic/spine procedures. The position requires adherence to hospital protocols and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.

Job Details

• Shift: Days, 8 hours

• Minimum Hours Per Week: 40

Required Qualifications

• Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• A minimum of one year of current hospital acute care experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Circulate and scrubbing experience
• Meditech experience

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 408 bed hospital including 14 operating rooms (1 hybrid cardiovascular operating room, 1 cystoscopy room, 12 multipurpose rooms)
• Staff: 60 full-time equivalents including OR registered nurses, certified surgical technologists, patient care technicians, anesthesia technicians, service line lead registered nurses, clinical charge registered nurses, an OR RN, and call teams for Neuro, Cardiovascular, and General surgeries
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Equipment: Standard operating room equipment, Stryker video systems, EMR - Meditech

Additional Information

• On-call schedule: From 5 PM to 7 PM once a week; weekend on-call occurs once every 6 weeks if the SSC Ortho doctor is on-call
• The unit prioritizes positive patient experience, effective communication among staff and providers, and adaptability to change
