Travel Nurse RN - OR - Operating Room - $2,953 per week

About the role

Seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a large, high-acuity surgical department at Maine Medical Center. Candidates must have recent Level I trauma OR experience and be comfortable circulating complex surgical and emergency cases.

Responsibilities

• 40 hours per week, 10-hour shifts, days
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Operating Rooms: 26
• Patient ratio: 1:1
• Charting: Epic
• Scrubbing in hospital-issued teal scrubs
• Flexible, reliable, accountable, and team-oriented work environment
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical setting
• Experience in one or more of the following specialties preferred: General Surgery, GU/GYN, Orthopedic trauma, Total joints, Neurosurgery, ENT, Pediatrics, Plastic Surgery, Dental and oral surgery, Endovascular procedures
• Certified CNOR preferred
• Approximately every fourth weekend
• No routine floating outside the Operating Room
• One overnight trauma call shift from 11:00 PM–7:00 AM
• May follow additional team-specific call requirements
• Equipment: Storz, Stryker, Olympus, Intuitive robotic surgical systems

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Level I trauma experience required
• Strong circulating experience
• Must be flexible, reliable, accountable, and team-oriented
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical environment

Qualifications

• Current state license to practice as a Registered Nurse
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
