Travel Nurse RN - OR - Operating Room - $2,930 per week
Job Summary
The role involves supporting surgical procedures in a busy unit with a focus on general surgery and orthopedics. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care, assist with a variety of surgical cases, and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure smooth operations.
Job Details
- Schedule: M-F, 0645-1515 with call requirements, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Number of ORs: 5, with staffing limitations allowing 3 rooms to operate at a time
- Typical case load: 12-15 cases per day, including GI scopes, cataracts, general surgery, gynecology, pain management, cardiology, and orthopedic cases
Required Qualifications
- BLS Certification
- Illinois license or confirmation that an application has been initiated
- 1 year of OR experience
- Active IL license or confirmation that application has been initiated
- Understands the drug-free policy and can produce a negative drug screen for all panels
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with general surgery and orthopedic procedures
- Scrub experience
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic charting system
