Travel Nurse RN - OR - Operating Room - $2,914 per week

About the Role

Binding Minds is seeking a travel nurse RN for an Operating Room position in Watertown, New York. This is a 13-week assignment with a start date of 09/14/2026, requiring a 40-hour work week on an 8-hour day shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM). Weekend, holiday, and call responsibilities are required. The role operates under a 100-mile radius rule.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care in the Operating Room (OR) setting.
• Assess patient needs, including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual aspects.
• Recognize safety issues and implement safe patient handling using lifts.
• Function effectively in stressful situations with strong problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrate leadership skills, including prioritization and delegation.
• Assume charge nurse duties as required.
• Utilize clinical equipment to maintain a safe and aseptic OR/ASU environment.
• Interpret lethal dysrhythmias.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current NYS RN license.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Preceptorship, charge, and leadership abilities preferred for experienced RNs.
• Thorough knowledge of nursing principles and patient care.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills.
