Travel Nurse RN - OR - Operating Room - $2,888 per week

About the role

Travel nurse RN position in the Operating Room at Wesley Medical Center (550 N Hillside St, Wichita, KS 67214). 13‑week assignment, 40 hours per week, 10‑hour evening shifts (2:30 PM–1:00 AM). The OR Surgery unit (701) has 28 beds, a 1:1 patient ratio, and staffing typically includes day‑shift examples of 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 2 CNAs, and 1‑3 sitters. The unit is equipped with DaVinci Robotics (SI, XI, Mako) and Mako systems, and uses Meditech/CPN EMR. The hiring profile primarily seeks Travel RNs, local CNAs, and sitters.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across a wide range of procedures including orthopedics, GYN, general, urology, cardiothoracic, vascular, plastics, dental, eyes, pediatrics, spine, neuro, trauma, TAVR, MAKO, and DaVinci cases.
• Communicate effectively with surgical staff, providers, and ancillary team members.
• Follow unit policies and guidelines; assist with on‑call coverage as required.
• Maintain proficiency with DaVinci Robotics systems and Meditech documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of current acute care OR RN hospital experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
