Here’s a job summary in list format for the position RN - OR - St. Vincent Hospital based on a typical job description for this role: --- Job Summary: RN - OR (Operating Room) – St. Vincent Hospital - Provide direct nursing care to surgical patients in the Operating Room. - Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. - Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes. - Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control protocols. - Prepare surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment prior to procedures. - Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in patient status. - Educate patients and families regarding pre- and post-operative care. - Document all aspects of nursing care accurately in patient medical records. - Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. - Participate in ongoing professional development and training activities.
