Travel Nurse RN - OR - Operating Room - $2,645 per week

About the Role

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Operating Room (OR) in Morgantown, West Virginia. This role is based in a high-volume, Level I Trauma Center handling diverse surgical cases across multiple service lines. The position focuses on day shifts, primarily assisting with outpatient cases in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Level I Trauma Center with a variety of surgical cases
• Assist with outpatient surgical procedures
• Circulate independently and take call as required
• Support a fast-paced surgical environment
• Float between designated units based on experience
• Participate in holiday call and weekend work as needed

Requirements

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in operating room settings
• Valid nursing license or willingness to wait for license processing
• Ability to work day shifts (8 hours, minimum 40 hours per week)
• Experience circulating independently and taking call

Qualifications

• Scrub experience (preferred but not mandatory)
• Strong ambulatory surgical experience
• Familiarity with Epic electronic medical record system
• Experience in trauma centers or high-acuity environments
• Proficiency with OR equipment (e.g., Bovie machines, Ligasure, Xi Robotics)

Additional Information

• Orientation to surgical units (2-3 shifts) including Epic EMR training
• Scrubs provided
• Scheduled shifts: 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
• Standby call: approximately 20-30 hours in a 4-week period
• Start date: 08/31/2026
• All submissions must include an unexpired copy of the candidate's driver's license

Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week, with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
