Travel Nurse RN - OR - Operating Room - $2,590 per week

Operating Room (OR) Nurse position in North Platte, Nebraska. This role involves working in a busy perioperative environment with a variety of surgical specialties including orthopedics and robotics.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist in surgeries
• Adhere to unit protocols
• Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced setting
• Float to Endoscopy or Pain Clinic departments as needed
• Participate in weekend and holiday call rotations with specific response times for cases

Requirements

• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• 2 years of OR experience
• Orthopedics and robotics experience
• RN scrubbing experience
• Valid nursing license
• Hospital-laundered cloth hats and OR-dedicated shoes required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in laparoscopic, cysto, podiatry, ENT, URO, plastics, pediatric dental, GI, neurospine, and robotic surgeries
• EMR experience with EPIC

About the Role

• Location: North Platte, Nebraska
• Duration: 17 weeks
• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts (starting at 6AM or 7AM), 36 hours per week
• OR suite includes 6 operating rooms, 2 endoscopy suites, a C-section room, and a pain clinic
• Average of 15-20 cases per day
• Orientation: 3-4 days of hospital general orientation followed by one week in the OR
• No self-scheduling or block scheduling; time-off requests must be submitted prior to the start date
• Weeknight call is rare; weekend call occurs roughly every 4-5 weeks (24-hour rotation from 6AM to 6AM)

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
