About the role
Iowa Methodist Medical Center is a 42-acre campus located in downtown Des Moines, offering nearly 4,000 employees and 370 staffed beds. It is a Level I Trauma Center and a major cancer care provider. The facility includes 16 operating rooms and handles approximately 1,050 cases monthly, with a variety of specialties including open heart surgery, kidney transplant, trauma, orthopedics, neurosurgery, robotics, ENT, general surgery, bariatrics, pediatrics, plastics, urology, vascular, and gynecology.
Responsibilities
- Perform surgical procedures under the supervision of anesthesiologists and surgeons
- Assist in setting up and cleaning operating rooms
- Monitor patients during and after surgeries
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient care
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in good standing
- Experience in operating room preferred
- No required qualifications beyond licensure
