Travel Nurse RN - OR - Operating Room - $2,510 per week

Operating Room Nurse in Jackson, Michigan. This role involves providing leadership in coordinating and delivering compassionate patient care within the surgical setting. The nurse utilizes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, delegating responsibilities, supervising staff, and documenting clinical activities. Effective communication with the healthcare team is essential to ensure optimal patient outcomes and address variances from patient goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in coordinating and delivering patient care in the operating room.
• Utilize assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Delegate responsibilities and supervise staff.
• Document clinical activities.
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Schedule

• Rotating shift with shifts typically lasting 8 hours (8:30 AM to 9:00 PM).
• Minimum 40 hours per week.
• Call requirements: one call per week from 9 PM to 7 AM and every sixth weekend (Saturday/Sunday 7 AM to 7 PM or 7 PM to 7 AM).

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• BLS certification.
• 0+ years of experience in the operating room or 2+ years of circulating experience.
• Trauma certification at level 2 or higher.
• Robotics experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Skills

• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary for nursing care planning.
• Ability to perform a variety of professional nursing services.
• Effective communication with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Additional Information

• No heart experience is necessary.
• Candidates must have circulating OR experience of 2+ years, trauma experience at level 2 or higher, and robotics expertise.

Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
