Travel Nurse RN - OR - Operating Room - $2,490 per week

Operating Room (OR) specialty professional opportunity located in Santa Rosa, California. This position involves providing advanced surgical care in a high-volume acute care hospital setting. The role requires dedicated OR experience, including trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic procedures, with a focus on patient safety and operational efficiency.

Job Details

Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week for 13 weeks. Night shifts may be required on an as-needed basis. The traveler must be available to work two of the three major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year.

• Orientation includes an expected 40 hours
• No on-call requirement
• Floats: Travelers may be expected to float between hospital units or to nearby affiliate facilities as needed. Refusal to float may lead to termination of the assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced surgical care in a high-volume acute care hospital
• Support trauma, neuro, vascular, plastics, ENT, and general surgery procedures
• Ensure patient safety and operational efficiency

Requirements

• Valid California RN license
• Three years of operating room experience
• Expertise in trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic procedures
• BLS certification
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Current references covering one year within the last three years
• All certifications, immunizations, and references must be submitted prior to start date

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with complex surgical procedures such as abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, craniotomy, total joint replacement, and minimally invasive surgeries
• Familiarity with specialized equipment like Da Vinci Xi Surgical System and Hana Table

Unit Information

• Supports adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Daily census of approximately 25 cases
• Patient ratios: Days 10 RN / 6 ST; Nights 1 RN / 1 ST; Weekends 3 RN / 2 ST
