Job Summary

An Operating Room (OR) Nurse position is available in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a fast-paced surgical environment. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment. The position offers a day shift schedule, working four days per week, ten hours per shift.

Job Details

• Location: Santa Fe, NM
• Shift: Day shift, 4 Days - 10 Hours, with a minimum of 40 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
• BLS certification from AHA
• RN License in the state of employment or in a compact state
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
• Experience in Pain Procedures, Preoperative, Operating Room, and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) settings is required, particularly with pain procedure injections typically performed in the OR setting

Responsibilities

• Providing independent nursing care
• Utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation)
• Addressing patients' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs
• Administering medications and treatments
• Monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
• Documenting patient information
• Providing patient and family education
