About the role

The operating room (OR) professional position is based in Boulder, Colorado. This role involves supporting a busy surgical unit with a focus on various specialties including orthopedics, neuro, spine, and general procedures. The position requires a dedicated healthcare professional capable of providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in the operating room
• Support surgical procedures in specialties such as orthopedics, neuro, spine, and general surgery
• Adhere to a 12-hour night shift schedule (starting at 6:45 PM), Monday through Wednesday nights
• Participate in on-call rotations with a 30-minute response time
• Scrubbing is preferred but not required for registered nurses

Requirements

• Certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Minimum of 2 years of operating room experience
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse
• Experience in acute care settings preferred
• Experience handling trauma cases such as MVCs, rock climbing, and bicycling accidents

Additional Information

• Up to two weeks of orientation, including training in Epic electronic medical record system, depending on experience
• Charge nurses are always present during shifts and do not take case loads during normal hours but may have assignments during evening or weekend shifts

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
