About the Role
HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Fort Worth, Texas. The position is for 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, with 12-hour day shifts.
The hospital is Med City Fort Worth, and the unit is Surgery (701) with 17 beds, including CVOR and Transplant. The patient ratios are 1:1 for OR nursing, and the unit has 1-2 surgical techs per case. The equipment used includes robots such as Davinci XI, Globus, and Mako, microscopes, and other usual OR equipment. The documentation system used is Meditech.
Responsibilities
The role requires a strong neuro experience, with 85% of cases being spine and 15% brain. The unit performs a high volume of general and neurosurgery, including crani, ortho, robotic, urology, and plastic surgery, as well as heart and transplant procedures.
Requirements
- 2+ years of OR experience in an acute care setting (not surgery center)
- Neurosurgery experience
- BLS and ACLS certification
- NIH certification
- Active TX RN License (temp license will not be accepted)
Preferred Skills
- Robotic experience
- Meditech experience
Qualifications
